Depositor Comments

There are alternative isoforms of the dysferlin protein. The insert contained in this plasmid is described as such: 1. Dysferlin can utilize exon 1 or alternative exon 1a to build a full protein. Therefore, which exon 1 has been included in the construct is noted. 2. Exons 5a, 17 and 40a are optional exons, so if the exon is listed, it is included in the name. 3. The remainder of the exons are not optional, and are included in all constructs.
