If you did not originally clone this gene, from whom and where did you receive the plasmid used to derive this plasmid: The bovine rhodopsin promoter was from -2174-lacZ (Zack et al., Neuron 6, 187-199 (1991)) obtained from Dr. D. Zack (Johns Hopkins University). The coding sequence of Cre was amplified by PCR using pxCANCre (Kanegae et al. NAR 23, 3816-3821 (1995)) obtained from Dr. Saito I (Univ. of Tokyo) as a template.
