The Center for Genome Engineering is committed to developing and disseminating the tools that enable efficient, responsible genome engineering. At the heart of CGE's technology are transposable elements - segments of DNA capable of changing their chromosomal position or moving from one DNA molecule to another. Faculty members at the Center for Genome Engineering have deposited plasmids at Addgene for distribution to academic and non-profit laboratories to promote research and educational purposes.
