MTA Ancillary Agreement: AviTag Limited Use Label License

The Biotin AviTag technology is covered by U.S. Pat. Nos: 5,723,584; 5,874,239; 5,932,433; 6,265,552; and European Patent No. 0711303 and includes any and all materials, methods, kits and related derivatives claimed by these patents. The use of any SnAvi-Tag plasmids containing the AviTag as a fundamental part of that plasmid confers to the user the limited right to use the AviTag technology for research applications by academic and not-for-profit entities only. This limited use license does not convey the right to use the SnAvi-Tag plasmids in a Commercial application.

Commercial use of the AviTag technology requires a license from Avidity, LLC. Examples of Commercial use include, but are not limited to biosensors, diagnostics, and therapeutic applications.
