These plasmids are used to generate bridging primers with Illumina-compatible barcodes for allele frequency sequencing (FREQ-Seq). Similar to RNA-Seq, the FREQ-Seq method can rapidly determine allele frequencies directly from mixed populations with minimal library preparation.
These plasmids were created by your colleagues. Please acknowledge the Principal Investigator, cite the article in which the plasmids were described, and include Addgene in the Materials and Methods of your future publications.
For your Materials & Methods section:pFSBC42 was a gift from Christopher Marx (Addgene plasmid # 44806 ; http://n2t.net/addgene:44806 ; RRID:Addgene_44806)
