Special Collections

In addition to individual plasmids and individual labs, Addgene also distributes plasmids both in sets or “kits” and on behalf of academic consortiums. Interested in finding a particular clone, try our search feature, browse our entire collection, or contact us at help@addgene.org.

Mammalian Collections

CCSB-Broad Human Kinase ORF Collection

The Center for Cancer Systems Biology (Dana Farber Cancer Institute)-Broad Human Kinase ORF collection from Addgene consists of 559 distinct human kinases and kinase-related protein ORFs available both as a kit or as individual clones.

Myristoylated Kinase Library

The Myristoylated Kinase Library was contributed by Jean Zhao’s laboratory at Harvard and consists of 192 human kinase and kinase-related open reading frames (ORFs) cloned into a retroviral vector that adds a myristoylation sequence and flag-epitope tag to each ORF (pWZL Neo Myr Flag).

DECIPHER shRNA Pooled Libraries

DECIPHER libraries are bar-coded lentiviral shRNA libraries optimized for RNAi Genetic Screens in pooled format. They are made by Cellecta and cover 15,000 human and 10,000 mouse genes.

TALEN Kits

TALENs are important new tools for genome engineering. These collections allows scientists to assemble TALEN constructs.

Other Collections

Fire Lab C. elegans Vector Kit

The Fire Lab has developed a large set of vectors for C. elegans research, available as an entire kit of 288 plasmids or individually.

S. cerevisiae Advanced Gateway Destination Vectors

The Susan Lindquist laboratory of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute and the Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research has deposited a set of Gateway destination vectors for high-throughput genetic analysis in S. cerevisiae.

dRMCE Plasmid Kit

This kit contains plasmids for dual recombinase-mediated cassette exchange (dRMCE)- an efficient, scalable, flexible tool to introduce tags, reporters and mutant coding regions into an endogenous locus of interest.

Wolfe-Lawson ZFN modular assembly kit

The laboratories of Scot Wolfe and Nathan Lawson have deposited a modular assembly kit for construction of ZFNs.

Consortiums

Zinc Finger Consortium

Members of the Zinc Finger Consortium have deposited reagents for engineering and expressing zinc finger proteins with Addgene.

Center for Genomic Engineering

Labs from the Center for Genomic Engineering (CGE) at the University of Minnesota have deposited plasmids with Addgene.

Cell Migration Consortium

Addgene works with the Cell Migration Consortium (CMC) to help distribute plasmids from CMC labs.

Structural Genomics Consortium

The Structural Genomics Consortium has archived their growing collection of more than 400 expression plasmids with Addgene. Empty backbones derived at the SGC are also available to request from Addgene.
