Over 75% of respondents work in offices with fewer than 20 group members. Over 80% of your offices service entire institutions, with many offices processing hundreds of MTAs per year. Addgene’s Tech Transfer Team includes 3 core members and 3 support members that service all Addgene Deposit and Request Agreements with the help of our eMTA system.

40% of your offices processed at least 50 Addgene MTAs in 2011, 63% of your offices processed at least 50 Non-Addgene, Non-Profit/Academic MTAs in 2011, and 63% of your offices processed at least 50 For-Profit/Industry MTAs. That is a lot of MTAs!

Since 2004, Addgene has been striving to save researchers and Technology Transfer Professionals time processing plasmid MTAs. Addgene’s collection of over 24,000 plasmids has been approved for distribution by over 2,700 unique Deposit and Distribution Agreements. By the end of 2012, Addgene had distributed over 265,000 plasmids to researchers around the world by way of over 103,000 fully executed Request MTAs.
