Depositor Comments

UniProt ID: https://www.uniprot.org/uniprotkb/Q9ZF99/.

Bacterium isolated from under snow and ice, in the northwest territory of Canada. The sequence of this MDH is highly related to thermophilic MDH. This protein is 2-3-fold more active at 4-10 °C than other MDH enzymes – possibly due to an increased flexibility at the active site as well as reduced interactions at subunits.
