Transfection-ready DNA is a ready-to-use, high-purity DNA prep intended for mammalian cell transfection and other molecular biology applications. DNA is available from popular CRISPR, imaging, sensor, reporter, and gene expression plasmids in our collection. Every prep is backed by Addgene's quality control and verified with next-generation sequencing.

Quality Control
Transfection-Ready DNA preps are verified by next-generation sequencing to confirm plasmid identity, sequence integrity, and the absence of DNA contaminants. Concentration is confirmed to be within ±2.5% of the stated concentration prior to shipping.
Addgene has validated our production process to consistently yield endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/µg (Figure 1). Individual lots are not tested for endotoxin.
Find and Order Eligible Plasmids
Over 27,000 plasmids in Addgene’s collection are available for request as transfection-ready DNA. Once you have identified an eligible plasmid of interest, you can order transfection-ready DNA as you would any other plasmid in Addgene's collection. Navigate to the material page, find the DNA option in the plasmid ordering table, and click Add to Cart.
To find and order eligible plasmids with Addgene's search:
- Search for a gene, sequence, or feature of interest.
- Use the search filters and select one of the Transfection-Ready DNA options. This option can be found under the DNA Services dropdown after selecting the More Filters option.
- Browse or add additional filters to find what you need.
- Navigate to the plasmid's material page.
- Find the DNA option in the plasmid ordering table, and click Add to Cart.
