Vector backbonepCAG/pCIG
- Backbone size (bp) 5200
-
Modifications to backboneDerived from pCAGGS/pCIG vectors; composite promoter (CMV + Chicken beta actin + rabbit beta-globin splice acceptor) was joined with the IRES-EGFP fragment from pIRES2-EGFP (Clonetech). This was placed nto a KAN backbone spliced from pGBKT7. Additional modifications added an C-terminal HA tag reading frame, substituted the EGFP-N1 multicloning site, and removed several stray restriction sites for easier fragment cloning.
