- Created by Moore, July 1995, under contract with NCBI. HindIII-ApaI fragment from pSV2cat contains internal BamHI and EcoRI sites. Mammalian shuttle expression vector for promoter cloning with activity analysis by CAT (chloramphenicol acetyl transferase) assay. Use KS+SV2CAT (ATCC 37609) as a control. Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): SacI--4.4; Xba--4.4; BamHI--2.9, 1.6; SmaI--4.4; PstI--4.4; EcoRI--3.9, 0.32; HindIII--4.4. (ATCC staff) Constructed by inserting the HindIII-ApaI fragment of pSV2cat in HindIII-ApaI digested Bluescript KS+. Contains no SV40 promoter.
