- Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): BamHI--10.2; BglII--10.2; PstI--10.2. (ATCC staff) Cloning into the PstI site inactivates the ampicillin marker used for selection in Escherichia coli. Cloning into the BglII, SphI, or SstI sites inactivates the tyrosinase gene.
