- Notes
- Created by Moore, July 1995, under contract with NCBI. Constructed from Bluescribe M13- by insertion of a synthetic BstXI adapter between the PstI & XbaI sites of the polylinker region. A plasmid vector containing convenient priming sites for sequence analysis and synthesis of RNA in either direction from T3 and T7 promoters. BSB+ (away from cloning site) and BSB- (toward cloning site) differ in their orientation of the intergenic region from bacteriophage f1. Contains the intergenic region from bacteriophage f1 permitting synthesis of single-strand copies of the insert. Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): NdeI/HindIII--2.45, 0.75; BamHI--3.2; NdeI--3.2; PvuII--2.65 + smaller; PstI--uncut. (ATCC staff) Medium is 1227 LB plus ampicillin. Hosts: E.coli HB101, E.coli. Related vectors: BlueScribe M13-. (Information source: VectorDB ( http://seq.yeastgenome.org/vectordb ).)
