- Constructed by deleting the HpaI (1686)/SmaI (2349) fragment from pCMY0 (ATCC 37820), removing part of the SV40 terminator region from pSV2-cat & part of the URA3-associated sequence from pUT322. The EcoRI, SmaI, and BamHI sites are 3' to the unique available in-phase initiation codon under control of the SV40 early promoter. Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): BamHI--5.6; EcoRI--5.6; BamHI/PvuII--4.9, 0.5. (ATCC staff) Shuttle expression vector. (ATCC staff) Permits expression in both S. cerevisiae and mouse cells. (ATCC staff) Medium is 1227 LB plus ampicillin.
