- Notes
- Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): BamHI/EcoRI--2.8 doublet, 0.87; EcoRI--3.8, 2.8; BamHI--6.4. (ATCC staff) The insert contains bp -109 to +105 of the MMTV promoter; the 5' boundary is a natural SstI site. [1] There is cryptic promoter activity which may be more readily observed with weak promoters. Be careful to do all appropriate controls and map the transcripts. (personal communication) This is a derivative of plasmids patented by the University of California and is not to be used for commercial purposes without prior arrangement with the University of California.(personal communication) One of a series of luciferase vectors (ATCC 37574-37584) for assaying promoter activity in mammalian cells. [1] Medium is 1227 LB plus ampicillin. Hosts: E.coli HB101, vertebrate cells, E.coli. (Information source: VectorDB ( http://seq.yeastgenome.org/vectordb ).)
