- The spcR marker is expressed in R. capsulatus. A wide range of transcription levels can be obtained by varying the nitrogen source in the medium. Transcription can be immediately stopped by the introduction of oxygen and ammonia. A Rhodobacter capsulatus expression vector with transcription of the insert under the control of the nifH promoter.
