- The first 19 codons of the APHI gene can be replaced by other genes in a continuous reading frame without loss of APH acitivity. pSk-kan1105 is formed from pSK-kan401 KANFUSA after digestion with BamHI and ligation to two synthetic complementary 11-mers (gatcctcgagc) with BamHI cohesive ends.
