- The depositor recommends using YRp7-17camp (ATCC 37630) as the reference for CAT expression and using the CAT assay methodology of Neumann, et al. A 1520 bp NdeI fragment containing CEN6 was cloned into the NdeI site of YRp7-32cat (ATCC 37624). One of a series (ATCC 37624 through 37634) of Escherichia coli/Saccharomyces cerevisiae shuttle vectors for investigating control of expression in yeast. Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): EcoRI--6.2, 1.4, 0.56; PstI--6.5, 1.3; PvuII--6.0, 1.8. (ATCC staff) Medium is 1227 LB plus ampicillin.
