- The depositor recommends using YRp7-17camp (ATCC 37630) as the reference for CAT expression and using the CAT assay methodology of Neumann, et al. One of a series (ATCC 37624 through 37634) of Escherichia coli/Saccharomyces cerevisiae shuttle vectors for investigating control of expression in yeast. A 5195 bp BamHI/HindIII fragment of YIp5 was ligated to a 1415 bp HindIII/BamHI fragment of YRp7-32cat (ATCC 37624). Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): EcoRI--5.8, 0.64, 0.58; PstI--3.85, 3.20; PvuII--3.7, 3.25. (ATCC staff) Medium is 1227 LB plus ampicillin.
