pAAV-CMVie-NcanGFP
(Plasmid
#235983)
-
PurposeExpresses the hyaluronan-binding domain of Neurocan fused to eGFP under the CMV promoter. It contains a sequence for secretory pathway, so the probe is exported to the extracellular space

Depositor Comments
Dr. Smith cloned the gene and used it in zebrafish (De Angelis et al., 2017, Dev Cell). She sent us the plasmid back in 2018. We cloned it into an AAV vector, and added the WPRE sequence. We have also validated its use in mouse and rat, and checked that it labels hyaluronan without affecting its properties and metabolism (Fernandez-Ballester et al., 2025, bioRxiv).
