Explanation of paper typo
Dr. Florian Raible created a diagram explaining a typo in the sequence for this plasmid. It does not appear that the mismatch is in a critical region. From his message:
There are inconsistencies between our sequence and Fig. S5 of the paper.
The inconsistency is close to the initial BamHI site, where Fig. S5 reads;
GAATTCTGT-C-G
whereas the original vector has a G:
GAATTCTGT-G-G
This change, however, seems not to be in any of the relevant elements, nor is it compatible
- with the original vector sequence for pKJ1712 as available in Fig. S1 of the paper (has a -G- )
- with the vector sequence for pKJ1712 as available from your website (as indicated by Claudia), even if in small print (-g-)
- with the respective map of the region (also available from your website) (-G-)
- with the design principle for the inserted oligo sequences (Fig. S4 of the paper) (-G-)
So I assume that Fig. S5 simply contains a typo.
